Due to the high threat risk of mass transport incidents, Marcus underwent specialized training in counterterrorism and crime intelligence.

In 2004, Marcus was appointed State Manager for SNP Security. Based in Canberra, this role focused heavily on government services within sensitive Australian federal infrastructure. In 2006, he assumed the position of National Operations Manager for security company, SIS. This complex role provided a challenging environment further enhancing his leadership and management skills.

2008 saw Marcus accept the role of Divisional Manager for global security provider, G4S Gurkha Services in Hong Kong. This position involved the management of 800 ex-British Army Gurkhas. Marcus then accepted a Security Consultant role expanding the G4S business into the Philippines in 2010, showcasing his expertise and versatility in the security industry.

Marcus returned to Hong Kong in 2013 as the General Manager, Asia Pacific at Signal 8 Security. A premium full-service security entity, Signal 8 specialized in bodyguard protection and event security. Marcus provided security services for a range of high-profile individuals within the business, arts and entertainment sectors.  Due to Marcus’ crowd and mass gathering expertise, he provided security services for the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, for the Wallabies and All Blacks touring teams.

In 2020, Marcus relocated to the United States with the goal of establishing a full-service security solutions business. After acquiring the WGS Group Inc. brand, Marcus expanded the business by strategically identifying security opportunities within California, Nevada and more recently New Jersey. Holding Diplomas of Security Risk Management and Leadership Management, Marcus utilized these skills to appoint several subject matter experts to WGS Group. These recognized industry individuals ensure he is constantly across the ever-changing security landscape. Marcus is a strong supporter of the New York based Blue Lives Matter charity organization and was recently instrumental in establishing the Los Angeles (California) chapter of the organization. He has a strong connection with the activities of the membership group which resonates with his previous law enforcement background.

Marcus is recognized within the Los Angeles and Las Vegas business community; he is an active member of both the Beverly Hills and Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. He is a contributing member of CEO-Life, an organization that aims to unite CEO’s, Entrepreneurs and Leaders on a global scale. Marcus is determined to redefine the provision of security services. This begins by simply getting out from behind the desk and providing direct management and quality control to all staff on the ground.
